Of course the week I am determined to get back in the swing of doing challenges, the challenge is so INVOLVED. This week, guest blogger (for I am the diva) Jane Reiter, CZT, offered a “Stacked Bijou” challenge in which we use mat board, in successive sizes, stacked beneath a Bijou (2×2″) tile: 3”, 4” 5”, 6”, and 7” squares.
I started with a simple hashtag for my Bijou tile using Fandance, Shattuck, Diva Dance and Bask-it in black and sepia, then extended the sepia/warm/fall palette with the mats. Tangles used on those include Umbra, Lezy, Henna Drum, Trimmed, and Looby Loo.
Nothing like jumping back in when the water’s hot! Had more fun than I expected cutting these to size and tangling the borders. Thanks, Jane!
I encourage and appreciate sharing!:
Super warm colours, nice alternations of light and dark. Great detailed work!
I love this tile! Great composition and colors.
This is a beautiful work with nice tangles and special, well balanced colours! I like it very much.
I love the extra tangles highlighting each corner. Lovely
A very beautiful stack.
I agree with the lovely Yorkshire Tortoise. The light touch on the last border sets off the whole. Your hashtag wants to jump from the screen.
Very beautiful. I think these would make great Christmas ornaments or gifts. 🙂
Beautifully composed. I love the white flowers on the corners that make it look especially elegant!
Beautiful colors. Like the overall appearance of your stack!
I absolutely love your stacks. The colors are fantastic and such beautiful line work. The whole composition is really lovely.
I love your colours, so deep and rich. Your patterning is very delicate too.
WOW! So beautiful! I love the warm colors!
Beautiful border tangles and very nice colours – gives a great stack!
Very nice tile!
With your schedule, I’m very impressed that you actually did the challenge following all the rules this week. I love the colors and tangles you chose which make for a very harmonious composition.
Thank you, Suzanne! It was a fun one 🙂
