Labyrinths and Boston and Facetime, oh my!

Greetings from Boston, MA, where I am traveling for my day job. I’m in a workshop with some really smart and fun marketing people at IBM Security (that’s not sarcastic, and this is not your grandfather’s IBM) and feeling decent (not super) on Day 9 of my Whole30 journey.

I also was delighted to have a good chunk of Facetime fun with Thing 2 (my younger son) and Spike (my French bulldog) last night. A couple of screen captures helps carry the feeling across time. Love these two creatures.

And I even managed to work on this week’s I Am The Diva (in the future I’m just going to call this IATD) challenge:

The idea of drawing labyrinths (and not mazes; I learned these are quite different) was new to me and I loved it. I might experiment with this in larger form because there are so many different ways to extend this idea! Tangles used here were Frillee, Tipple, and Footlights.

Excited to see how others tackled this one; so many options from using the labyrinth as a string to…just about anything. Post a link to yours if you participated!

I encourage and appreciate sharing!:

This was one of my favorites. I like your use of Foot lites! And the labyrinth reminds me of a curtain ready to go up or down. Wonderful!

Thanks, Lynell! I didn’t see it that way but now that you say that, I totally can! 🙂

  1. Day 9 Confession | Cari's Raw & Random Thoughts - April 28, 2015

[…] I did get to have a really sweet Facetime call with Thing 2 and Spike (my French bulldog) last night, and that boosted my spirits and strengthened my resolve. AND I participated in a Zentangle weekly challenge at the front end of the week, which is good for inspiration, site traffic to ZenHenna, and my personal sense of accomplishment. Check it out. […]
