Zentangle and Oils

Tangles and Oils: My zen introvert advantage

I was all set to do a challenge this week and ended up creating my own. I’ve been struggling to think through how to integrate all of my interests and businesses into one cohesive “thing” and realized the answer was sitting right in front of me, literally. My go-to solutions for anxiety and stress fit hand-in-hand: Zentangle and Essential Oils. Yes, I do Zentangle classes. Yes, I am an independent Young Living distributor/consultant. But mostly, I do these things on my own. Solitary. You see, I’m an introvert (which most people find surprising as I am an outgoing introvert – yes, that’s a thing). After spending time with people I don’t know well or with many people, I need alone time to decompress and recharge my batteries. Classic introvert behavior.

Zentangle and Oils

The ZEN introvert advantage: Zentangle + Essential Oils

So many people I’ve met in the Zentangle world are also introverts, while Young Living friends tend to be more extroverted (think, network marketing – talk to EVERYONE – kind of people which would be awesome but it’s just not me). So, it hit me – Zentangle + Essential Oils = Introvert Advantage.

Interested in a Zentangle class? I promise it’s affordable ($40 for a 2 hour class including supplies). In your home, at a public location (like the library, 1:1), at your workplace for team-building, stress management, and bonding…and I will diffuse creative and calming oils to help you find your ZEN. If you like Zentangle, I can do advanced classes. If you like the oils, I’ll connect you with them at a huge discount. And, you can work YOUR introvert advantage with your friends and family.

This is not high-pressure sales, friends, this is me sharing what I love with people who are interested and want to live a healthier, happier, calmer life.

Now, for the weekly “I am the Diva” challenge #316 – Stripes:

I am the Diva Challenge #316

The challenge is to draw your string using stripes. I decided to use a 3Z tile since I haven’t played with them much. It’s a small

space to work in but it lent itself well to stripes. I was thinking about how when my boys were little, they used to like “stripies” – shirts with stripes – and now that they are teenagers they want no parts of such things. Sigh. Anyway…I started off with these three tangles – Flowervine, Coil, and Chainlea – and was going to embellish, but then decided I actually was happy with it in this simple form.

Happy almost Friday!

That was fun to follow the stripes and see where they continued. I really like the negative space you left in the center too!

The tile is beautiful! Interesting, that explanation you gave about extrovert and introvert. In this way I’m absolutely like that. But, aren’t most people???

Actually, no! Introverts are a smaller portion of the population than extroverts.

I love the way you did this challenge. I too would be one of those outgoing introverts!

This is a beautiful tile. Excellent choice of tangles which are equally excellent executed.

So simple and so attractive. I especially like your use of black between the stripes — offsets them nic3ly and makes them stand out.

Your stripes tile is so pretty, it really goes beyond stripes into a whole new dimension.

I love your 3Z stripes….especially the composition of where you put each tangle. 🙂
